Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen in KPMG’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) for a generalist in house lawyer. The OGC deals with a wide variety of corporate and commercial arrangements and agreements, along with regulatory and disputes management. Your Opportunity 

Forming part of the Office of General Counsel team this role will play a key role in a wide variety of corporate and commercial arrangements and agreements, regulatory issues and litigation by 

  • Drafting and negotiating general contracts and commercial agreements 

  • Reviewing new products and service offerings 

  • Providing legal advice in relation to tender documents and client service offerings 

  • Liaising closely with the business and external counsel 

  • Providing legal advice in relation to and the management of potential disputes.

  • Experience negotiating general commercial contracts 

  • Experience in litigation, disputes or reputation matters 

  • Exposure to corporate law matters 

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience building relationships with internal clients at all levels 

  • A proactive and commercial approach to problem solving 

Qualifications

You are an admitted lawyer and hold a current practising certificate.
