Job Summary

The Communications Advisor plays a key role in building CoStar Group's reputation and presence in Australia through effective internal and external communications. This position combines storytelling, research, media relations and employee communications, making it ideal for someone who is naturally curious about business, economics and the commercial property sector.

Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will identify, develop and deliver compelling stories that showcase CoStar Group's people, products, customers, insights and market expertise. You will monitor industry trends, research emerging issues and uncover opportunities that support the company's communications strategy.

The role requires strong writing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate complex information into engaging content that informs employees, supports media engagement and strengthens brand visibility. Supporting senior communications leaders, you will bring fresh ideas, strong execution skills and a proactive approach to ensuring employees remain connected to the company's strategy, priorities and growth ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive employee engagement by developing and delivering internal communications that connect people to the company's strategy, priorities, achievements and transformation journey.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to identify stories, news, milestones and opportunities that should be shared internally and externally.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the commercial property sector, including the market, customers, competitors, key issues and industry trends.
  • Monitor media, industry news, economic developments and policy issues to identify opportunities, risks and emerging conversations relevant to the business.
  • Conduct research that helps inform communications strategies, media activity, thought leadership programs and executive positioning.
  • Support the delivery of media relations activities, including media monitoring, briefing preparation, journalist research and opportunity identification.
  • Develop high-quality communications content across internal channels, leadership communications, thought leadership, media materials and business updates.
  • Help bring CoStar Group's expertise, insights and market intelligence to life through compelling storytelling and content creation.
  • Support communications activity relating to business announcements, product launches, research releases, events and industry partnerships.
  • Be a reliable, proactive member of the communications team who can move seamlessly between strategic projects, day-to-day execution and emerging issues.

About You:

  • 8+ years' experience in government or legal affairs, public relations, corporate communications, journalism, content, media or a related field.
  • Experience developing content across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Experience supporting internal communications programs, media relations activities or corporate communications initiatives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Exposure to commercial property, real estate, business media, financial services, infrastructure or related sectors is advantageous.
