About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic Communications Manager to own and deliver our internal and external communication strategy. Based out of our Sydney CBD office, this role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of culture, storytelling, and brand building, someone who can connect our people to our purpose internally while representing our brand externally with clarity and confidence.
You’ll be a key voice in shaping how we talk to our people, our customers, and the wider market, creating messages that are engaging, consistent, and aligned with our values.
Responsibilities
- Internal Communications
- Design and execute an internal communications strategy that keeps employees informed, engaged, and inspired.
- Manage and Own channels like email, teams, newsletters, intranet/Confluence, and town halls.
- Partner with leaders to cascade key updates (OKRs, strategy, culture, policy changes) in a way that resonates.
- Develop creative campaigns to support People & Culture initiatives (onboarding, recognition programs, diversity and inclusion efforts).
- External Communications
- Shape and manage our corporate voice for media, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Drive consistency in communications for the Splend brand across all channels in which we are present, including job boards, website etc
- Craft press releases, media pitches, and company announcements that tell our story clearly and compellingly.
- Content & Storytelling
- Develop engaging written, visual, and digital content — from employee spotlights to CEO speeches.
- Ensure all communications are consistent with brand tone, values, and visual identity.
- Monitor engagement and feedback to continuously improve messaging effectiveness.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in corporate communications, PR, or marketing communications (3–5+ years).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for making complex ideas simple.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with senior leaders.
- Familiarity with internal comms tools (e.g., Confluence, MS Teams) and social platforms (LinkedIn).
- Experience managing crisis comms or sensitive messaging is a plus.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
