The opportunity
This role plays a key part in strengthening QBE AUSPAC’s incident and breach reporting capability, ensuring high-quality, regulator-ready outcomes. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to drive consistent, defensible compliance practices and support ongoing transformation in breach management.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Breach Reporting, you’ll lead day-to-day breach management activities while leading the transformation and uplift of processes, controls and reporting. This is a hands-on role with real influence, balancing technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end breach management, from identification and investigation through to escalation and regulatory reporting
Deliver clear, well-supported breach assessments that are consistent, defensible and regulator-ready
Provide insights on incidents and breaches, identifying root causes and systemic improvement opportunities
Support senior management reporting with clear analysis, trends and actionable recommendations
Drive improvements to breach management processes, including automation and data-led enhancements
Partner with stakeholders across Line 1, Line 2 and the business as a trusted adviser to uplift compliance outcomes

About you
We’re looking for a commercially minded compliance professional who can operate confidently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. You’ll bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, business-focused outcomes.
Key requirements:
7–10 years’ experience in compliance and/or breach reporting within financial services (ideally insurance)
Strong understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks (ASIC, APRA, OAIC, CGC)
Proven ability to deliver high-quality, regulator-ready outputs with minimal rework
Strong analytical and investigation skills, with the ability to form clear, evidence-based conclusions
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and influencing capability at senior levels
High commercial acumen, with the ability to translate regulation into practical solutions
