We’re already trusted by leading brands around the world, but the real-time revolution is only just beginning. Having raised $83.5m, we’re accelerating our mission of delivering real-time payments, everywhere. And that’s where you come in.
We need world-class talent to create a world where consumers pay, and businesses get paid, instantly. With headquarters in London and offices in Sydney, Cracow and Warsaw - and an all-star team already in place - we’re sure you’ll fit right in!
About the role:
This is a critical enabling role designed to streamline the intersection of commercial teams and core operations. Operating within an AFSL-licensed environment, you will be responsible for the machinery behind every deal. Your role is to ensure that Australian client onboarding is seamless, our CRM data is in-line with global standards, and Australian interests are effectively communicated to and integrated with our global European headquarters. You'll be the bridge that ensures our local growth remains fast, compliant, and globally aligned.
What the role involves
- AML/CTF & Australian Onboarding Oversight
- Regulatory Onboarding: Lead and manage the onboarding process for all Australian clients, ensuring strict adherence to Australian AML/CTF and KYB regulations. You will ensure all merchant files meet the required standard of our regulated organization.
- Global Compliance Bridge: Act as the primary conduit between the Australian business and the European Compliance function. You will ensure the local team is up-to-date with global policies while advocating for Australian-specific needs at HQ to ensure they are understood and integrated into global workflows.
- Approval Management: Manage the approval process for core clients against relevant internal and external standards, identifying and resolving any compliance "red flags" before they impact the sales cycle.
- System Administration and Operations
- Customer System Integration: Manage and execute customer set-up within Volt’s internal systems, ensuring all parameters are correctly configured to guarantee a seamless and error-free go-live experience.
- Go-Live Documentation Ownership: Own the administration and version control of critical documents that play a vital role in taking customers live, including boarding forms, site-inspection checklists, and technical hand-off sheets.
- Collateral & Asset Management: Maintain the central repository of sales assets (decks, one-pagers, pricing schedules), ensuring all internal documentation is up-to-date, compliant, and reflective of current product capabilities.
Requirements
About you
- You have minimum 2 years of experience in a Compliance, Onboarding or Sales Operations role
- Industry Expertise; experience working within Fintech or Payments is preferred, but not required.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proficiency in Australian AML/CTF, KYB, and KYC frameworks, with experience verifying complex corporate structures and Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency of Salesforce CRM, with the ability to maintain data integrity and maintain process flows.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; able to bridge the gap between a high-energy local team and our European counterparts.
What happens next?
- Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview with our Senior Talent Acquisition Lead. The video meeting will take about 30 minutes.
- Then it’s time for a second interview with our SVP of Compliance & Risk that will last about 1 hour.
- Our SVP Australia & New Zealand would also like to meet you during the recruitment process.
- Finally, you will meet with our CEO and co-founder for a Final Interview.
- If successful, you will be given a job offer proposal.
Benefits
What you can expect from us:
- We champion ‘extreme ownership’ – being not just the owner of your own tasks, but a key member of a team united by, and accountable for, common goals.
- We offer paid holidays (pssst...we will give you one day off extra for your birthday).
- In addition, once every two months on Friday we close down all comms at Volt - a digital detox. The whole business is officially ordered to take the day off!
- We offer a predominantly remote way of working, while still valuing in-person connection from time to time. If you're in or near Sydney, you’re welcome to use our beautiful co-working space whenever you like. If you're based elsewhere in the country, we’d love to get together in person at least once per quarter.
- We’re open to both part-time and full-time setups. In a full-time capacity, this role would expand into a hybrid Compliance and Operations position. Please indicate in your application whether you’re looking for a part-time or full-time role.
- If you want to work in a company with a great, start-up atmosphere, you don’t have to look further :)
