We are currently seeking a dynamic Consulting Systems Engineer to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

As a member of the International Sales Department, you will work closely with the Sales Team to position our Portfolio of Switching and IAM solutions, drive field Systems Engineers in their projects and report product evolution requests to Product Management.

You would act as a Consulting Systems Engineer for , FortiSwitch, IAM (mainly FortiAuthenticator, FortiIdentity, FortiToken), and FortiNAC.

As a Consulting Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Member of the CSE team which covers INTL region (EMEA and APAC)
  • Second level of pre-sales support assisting the field SE organization:
    • in responding to RFPs/RFIs: design, solution specification, product information.
    • in supporting key projects to ensure Fortinet success.
    • in leading technical discussions, articulating technology and demonstrating differentiated values.
    • in creating compelling solution presentations, demonstrations and POCs.
    • Hands on assistance.
    • Assisting Subject Matter Experts for Switching and Identity Access Management / NAC solutions.
  • Responsible for building technical material to support sales activities (slideware, solution brief, white papers, success stories, technical notes, TOI, etc.) and design workshops.
  • Effectively disseminate product knowledge to the Sales Team and Channel.
  • Point of contact for the Product Management team: responsible for reporting and consolidating customer needs across INTL, validating business cases, writing and prioritizing feature requests.
  • Report project activities, analyze project trends and provide market vision.
  • Participate in the development of commercial strategies.
  • Travel as required in INTL region.

For this position we have various products to be covered, FortiSwitch, IAM (mainly FortiAuthenticator, FortiIdentity, FortiToken), and FortiNAC

It’s a requirement that you will be able to cover a minimum of 2 of the 3 product areas when starting in this position. 

We Are Looking For:

An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing switching architecture, security and identity management solutions to support critical systems and business programs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering hands-on workshops for partners and end customers.
  • Strong experience with Authentication protocols (RADIUS, LDAP, FIDO2, SAML, OAUTH).
  • Must be a team player, at the same time being able to work individually and remotely.

Then depending on product area:

  • Strong expertise in enterprise switching platforms (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Aruba, Juniper, Extreme Networks, Fortinet etc.).
  • Proven ability to design and implement complex IT/Large Campus/Datacenter infrastructures including Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VxLAN), including STP, QoS, and multicast.
  • Experience with consulting on Privileged Access Management strategies, including deployment of tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or FortiPAM.
  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) frameworks and integration with PAM.
  • High knowledge with Network Access Control solutions like Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, FortiScout, FortiNAC or equivalent.

Recommended/Preferred qualifications: 

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with modular/chassis switches.
  • Experience with IAM as a Service (IDaaS) and at least one of the market leaders like Microsoft Azure, Okta, Ping Identity or equivalent.
  • Experience with ADFS and other Federation technologies.
  • High level of analytical approach.
  • Ability to evaluate end-user business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and then develop and implement the appropriate technical solution.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and opportunities, generate product demand at large scale.
  • A self-motivated, independent thinker.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems. Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.
  • Any Microsoft Azure certifications will be a plus.
