The Opportunity:

The Macquarie Data Centres marketing team runs a multi-faceted marketing engine to attract new customers by utilising a mix of digital, social and traditional marketing tactics. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Content Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving Macquarie Data Centres’ go-to-market strategy through high-impact content that fuels demand generation, pipeline growth and brand leadership.
Working with the Head of Marketing and tapping into a wide range of internal SMEs, the Content Marketing Manager will develop and own a content marketing plan aimed at engaging senior enterprise and wholesale buyers such as CIOs, Heads of IT, infrastructure leaders and procurement decision-makers. This includes digital marketing, sponsorship of data centre events.

This role suits a results-driven content marketer who is performance-driven, data-led and hands-on, with strong experience in B2B technology marketing and modern marketing automation environments.

Required Skills:

  • Solid understanding of full-funnel content marketing, with the ability to create and share self-written content across the funnel
  •  Extensive experience in B2B content marketing, preferably within technology or an agency environment servicing this industry
  • Demonstrated experience writing content for lead generation, nurture programs, websites and digital channels
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology buyers and complex sales cycles
  • Results-driven, data-driven individual with creativity, originality and a high level of conceptual thinking
  • Excellent project management, presentation and decision-making skills
  • Degree in marketing, communications or journalism (essential); postgraduate qualification in business or an IT discipline (advantageous but not required)

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Own and execute the end-to-end content marketing strategy
  • Write and produce content to support Macquarie Data Centres’ go-to-market activities and priorities
  • Act as the in-house technical content writer and develop a broad range of content assets
  • Produce high-quality content assets that fuel digital marketing, website content, communications streams, thought leadership and sales enablement
  • Partner closely with Sales to understand buyer objections, pain points and opportunities, and develop and maintain a library of sales enablement assets, including product sheets, sales presentations, industry battlecards and value propositions
  • Support brand positioning through consistent, high-quality content that reinforces trust, scale, expertise and leadership
  • Write or partner with the PR agency and internal executives to develop press releases, opinion pieces and contributed articles, and support executive thought leadership such as speeches and op-eds
  • Act as a key contributor and owner of Macquarie Data Centres’ website content and social media channels, aimed at engaging target audiences
