If you enjoy turning complex technology into powerful stories and want to help shape the narrative of Australia’s AI and cloud infrastructure industry, this role will put you at the centre of it.

About us:

Part of the ASX-listed Macquarie Technology Group, Macquarie Data Centres is Australia’s most experienced provider of secure, compliant and sovereign digital infrastructure.

We operate at the centre of one of the most important technology shifts of our generation —the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, hyperscale cloud and high-performance computing. Our data centres provide the critical infrastructure that powers AI environments, hyperscale cloud platforms and data-intensive industries applications used by some of the world’s most demanding organisations every day.

As part of Macquarie Technology Group, one of Australia’s most trusted technology companies, we are helping build the sovereign digital backbone for cloud, artificial intelligence, cyber security and next-generation compute right here in Australia.

The Opportunity:

Macquarie Data Centres is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help shape how we tell our story.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of a high-impact content strategy that supports our go-to-market efforts, strengthens brand authority and drives demand from enterprise, hyperscalers and government organisations.

Working closely with subject matter experts across engineering, product and sales, you will translate complex infrastructure and emerging technologies — from AI-ready data centres to sovereign cloud platforms — into compelling narratives that resonate with senior technology leaders.

You will develop and own the content marketing strategy and editorial calendar, producing thought leadership, digital campaigns, customer stories and industry event content designed to engage CIOs, Heads of IT, infrastructure leaders and procurement decision-makers.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a hands-on B2B content marketer with a genuine interest in technology. You enjoy working with technical experts, translating complex ideas into compelling narratives and developing thought leadership that positions the business as an industry authority.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of full-funnel content marketing, with the ability to plan, create and distribute content that supports awareness, demand generation and pipeline growth
  • Proven experience in B2B content marketing, ideally within enterprise technology, infrastructure, cloud or an agency supporting technology clients
  • Demonstrated ability to independently produce high-quality written content, including thought leadership, website content, campaign assets, nurture programs and digital content
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to support campaign execution and performance tracking
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology buyers and complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent project management, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related discipline

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Own and execute the end-to-end content marketing strategy
  • Write and produce content to support Macquarie Data Centres’ go-to-market activities and priorities
  • Act as the in-house technical content writer and develop a broad range of content assets
  • Produce high-quality content assets that fuel marketing channels like our website, LinkedIn, executive thought leadership, brand communications, PR and sales enablement.
  • Partner closely with internal SME’s to develop content that talks to cutting-edge innovation shaping our industry.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop and maintain a library of sales enablement assets, including product sheets, sales presentations and value propositions.
  • Partner with the PR agency and internal executives to develop press releases, opinion pieces and contributed articles, and support executive thought leadership such as speeches, interviews and op-eds.
