An opportunity now exists for a Continuous Improvement Specialist – Business Systems & Integration to join Nova’s corporate/internal Continuous Improvement team responsible for delivering business-wide improvement and transformation initiatives. The Continuous Improvement Specialist role applies structured business analysis, user-centred design, and process improvement methods to identify opportunities, define future-state options, and support implementation of practical, sustainable solutions. 

About the role:  

The role is centred on understanding current state and defining, analysing, and designing improvement options, while retaining responsibility for selected solution build and configuration activities. The position works collaboratively with our IT Teams and contributes to the development of business processes, systems, and practices that enhance organisational performance and client outcomes. 

What you will be involved with: 

  • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver  improvement and transformation, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Lead and support discovery activities such as workshops, interviews and data analysis to uncover pain points, inefficiencies, system constraints and to understand current state processes and user needs
  • Work across business and IT to design and deliver operational solutions that integrate systems, streamline processes, and make effective use of data

  • Synthesise discovery insights into clearly framed problems, identifying root causes and defining measurable outcomes to inform solution design.
  • Lead business analysis activities including requirements gathering, process mapping, user-centred design, and options definition to inform decision-making ensuring projects are clearly scoped with defined objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify solutions that give the best overall benefit to desirability, viability and feasibility enhancing organisational effectiveness, efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Support the development and application of standards, frameworks, and methodologies that enable a consistent, business-wide approach to continuous improvement, while delivering efficient, process-orientated outcomes regardless of solution type.
  • Undertake solution build and configuration tasks where appropriate, using enterprise platforms and digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Power Platform, Oracle Cloud ERP, O365) Ensuring solutions are practical, user-focused, and supported by effective change management, training and communication materials.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business units to secure buy-in, adoption, and sustainability of improvement initiatives, while actively contributing to a culture that values innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.

What we would like from you: 

  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, process improvement, and/or business transformation.

  • Knowledge of design thinking, Lean Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies.

  • Familiarity with agile project management and delivery practices.

  • Competence in change management practice

  • Strong systems and data literacy, with experience shaping and delivering solutions that integrate platforms, data, and AI-enabled tools. Able to confidently work across business and technical domains (e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, Oracle Cloud ERP, O365)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to simplify complex issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder engagement and facilitation.

  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.

  • Commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
