The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years. 

 

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including: 

 

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga) 
  • Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) 
  • RAAF Base Wagga 

 

The proposed capital investment of $2 billion will incorporate a variety of elements including: 

 

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation 
  • Construction of new training facilities 
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings 
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

The opportunity 

 

We currently have an opportunity for Contract Administrator to support the Commercial Team by delivering high quality administration, financial analysis, and operational support across the Riverina Redevelopment Program. This position will see the successful candidate manage contracts, invoicing, and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced Defence project environment.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Manage client orders, supplier payments, and contract documentation. 

  • Prepare, reconcile, and issue invoices in line with head contract requirements. 

  • Support project financials including budgets, forecasts, accruals, and reporting. 

  • Coordinate contract variations, notices, and securities management. 

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors

 

What you’ll bring 

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in contracts administration or a similar commercial role. 

  • Strong understanding of contract terms, risks, and financial instruments. 

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence with office systems. 

  • High attention to detail with strong written and numerical accuracy. 

  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.

 

This role is based at Blamey Barracks Kapooka, Wagga Wagga. Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate if required. Applicants must be Australian citizens and willing to obtain a security clearance.
