We're seeking a skilled Control Testing Analyst to join our esteemed Governance and Risk team. As a pivotal member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our control testing activities, aligning them with business, regulatory, and legal standards.

Your new role

As a Control Testing Analyst, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of control assurance and testing activities across all AUSPAC operations. Collaborating closely with our Brisbane and Sydney-based teams, you'll provide essential insights and recommendations for testing, reporting to Executive Management Boards (EMBs), and individual Business Units (BUs). Situated within the first-line risk framework, you'll engage directly with senior management across multiple BUs and risk profiles, influencing decisions and contributing to organizational resilience.

While the role does not entail direct project work, you'll actively participate in identifying and implementing controls arising from projects, providing inputs on modernization implications and improvement strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive control testing across all AUSPAC Business Units, meticulously evaluating processes to uphold our standards of excellence.
  • Monitor first-line risk control testing, ensuring strict adherence to our risk policy, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain and oversee testing timetables with precision, guaranteeing that deadlines are met without compromise.
  • Provide invaluable support to our business stakeholders, guiding them through their control testing obligations with expertise and professionalism.

About you

We are seeking a Control Testing Analyst with a proven track record in:

  • Similar roles within large and complex business environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory risk requirements and obligations.
  • Ability to consult, guide, and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Passionate about achieving best-practice risk outcomes.
  • Eager to further develop professionally alongside leading professionals in the insurance industry.
