About the role

Transurban boasts a multi-billion dollar pipeline and portfolio of assets. As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in future-proofing our business.

Your financial modelling skills and analytical insights will be essential in providing information to our executive committee and board, supporting decisions on both existing assets and future investments.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Assist in preparing valuation and transaction materials and reports for: Existing assets, ongoing development projects, and potential future investments, and corporate metrics, including capital structure and company defence strategy
  • Support the creation, review, update, and management of financial models for new projects, financing, or refinancing transactions
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business in analysing business cases and operational initiatives, and provide insights on their impacts to the Transurban valuation, capital structure, and cost of capital
  • Develop project management and commercial skills in the context of mergers & acquisitions transactions

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Exposure to new business development, implementation, and corporate finance, including acquisition, investment, capital raising, and divestment transactions
  • Analytical mindset to think outside the box and conduct appropriate reviews and financial assessments of projects
  • Ability to work with and build 3-statement financial models (including use of macros)
  • Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis
  • Inquisitive and eager-to-learn attitude, with the ability to grasp ideas and concepts within a toll road environment
  • Attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of compiled information for informed stakeholder decision-making
  • Adaptable and collaborative, excelling in both teamwork and independent work
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas, findings, and recommendations clearly and engagingly, both in written and verbal form
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm for challenging roles, and high levels of motivation and drive
  • Relevant tertiary education and professional qualifications
