Develops and expands the country account base for DNV’s certification and training services. Responsibilities include acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, driving sales targets, retaining and recertifying customers, building partner networks, negotiating contracts, and representing DNV at industry events. The role requires strong sales, business development, communication, account management, and knowledge of the Australian certification market.
Local Unit & Position Description:
Part of the Sales team of Business Assurance SEA & Oceania (certification and training), the Country Business Developer will report to the Area Sales Manager, SEA & Oceania.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand the account base for the Business Assurance unit.
- Serve as a primary contact for key accounts, fostering strong client relationships.
- Generate new business opportunities for certification and training services.
- Drive personal sales performance by developing business relationships and implementing effective sales and business development strategies to achieve targets.
- Maintain and strengthen customer loyalty, managing recertification and retention of existing clients by addressing queries and renegotiating terms to ensure continued partnership with DNV.
- Proactively identify and approach target companies, generating business opportunities aligned with DNV’s service portfolio.
- Build and nurture a local network of partners (consultants, channels).
- Negotiate and finalize business contracts to achieve individual sales goals.
- Represent DNV at local events, tradeshows, conferences, and exhibitions.

Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ industry experience preferred.
- Proven track record in sales and business development.
- Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the certification market in Australia.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing key accounts and acquiring new clients.
