Custody Administrator (12 months contract)
Location : Sydney
Description
This is a 12 months contract to provide direct support and administration functions to the Custody team and Custody client groups in a timely and efficient manner.
Job specification
Perform daily reconciliations from IRESS with registries and custodians, engagement with clients and third-party asset managers as required to clear the breaks
Open and maintain Manage fund accounts, ensuring all AML/KYC requirements are met prior to account activation
Understanding of AML and KYC checks in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including reviewing client documentation and beneficial ownership structures
Process applications, redemptions, and distributions related to managed fund holdings within custody SLA
Liaise with fund managers, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely settlement of transactions
Collaborate with the internal Custody teams to confirm proper funding for trading activity, manage deadlines for settlement, and escalate discrepancies for resolution
Maintain documentation and reporting in accordance with operational, regulatory, and audit standards
Effective client communication, including responding to all client queries and requests in a timely manner;
Liaising with Legal counsel on document matters
Actively involved in process improvements and suggestions
Back up and cross cover other team members in times of absence
Skills Required:
Custodial services/Registry background in financial services industry
Managed Funds reconciliations experience
Settlements experience
Knowledge of Calastone, CITCO order management
Nice to have knowledge of Private Equity and MIS products
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to urgent priorities.
