At ING, we want to make life simpler and more worthwhile – for everyone who banks with us, for the people who work with us, and the community at large, too. We’ve built a culture that’s fun, friendly and supportive – it’s the kind of place where you can be yourself and make the most of whatever you have to offer.

As a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) – Data, you will lead the delivery of data products and strategic data initiatives from start to finish. You will act as the key link between business stakeholders, data owners, data users, and technology teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs.

Your responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing requirements, managing delivery plans, coordinating stakeholders, handling risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful implementation and adoption of data solutions.

Working closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and Business Analysts, you will help deliver scalable, high-quality, and well-governed data products. You will also promote strong data governance, data quality, and best practices to maximize the value of enterprise data.

If you’re ready to do your thing, we’d love to hear from you

What you’ll do …

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data products and strategic data initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and discovery workshops, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and delivery plans.

  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment across Data Owners, Data Consumers, Data Stewards, Architects, and Engineers.

  • Define and manage product scope, priorities, roadmap, and backlog, balancing business value, regulatory requirements, and delivery capacity.

  • Oversee delivery execution, including risks, dependencies, testing, UAT, and production readiness, to ensure successful and timely outcomes.

  • Champion data governance, data quality, and compliance, ensuring scalable, trusted, and high-quality data solutions that maximize business value.

  • Escalates to the Data Product Area Lead for Product strategy, roadmap and prioritisation decisions, or when there are changes to agreed scope, delivery objectives or regulatory commitments.

What we’re looking for….

  • Strong data literacy with hands-on experience in data governance, data delivery, and managing enterprise data products.

  • Finance domain expertise with the ability to understand business drivers, financial data, and reporting requirements.

  • Proven ability to translate financial reporting and business requirements into scalable data solutions in partnership with engineers and architects.

  • Experience modernising manual and Excel-based processes using cloud-based data platforms, particularly Azure.

  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Mesh principles, with exposure to SQL and analytics tools such as Power BI or SAS.

What’s in it for you?

  • Discounted ING Health Insurance.

  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing.

  • An IMPACT Day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity.
