This is a remote position.
JOB Title: AutoCAD Drafter
Rate: 10AUD/hour
Type: 30 hours per week
Purpose: The position’s primary responsibility is to create technical drawings to help design floor plans to build real estate or architectural projects. This highly-trained draftsman will work with architects and engineers to design and create 3D computer models of buildings from blueprints or from scratch.
Qualifications:
● Must have a relevant experience as a Drafter.
● Proficiency in AutoCAD is a MUST. Experience with Solidworks is a PLUS
● Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
● Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally
● Team Working skills and a collaborative approach to work
● Decision-making skills
● The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
● The ability to think strategically
● A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
● Experience working for an Australian construction company is a MUST
● Understanding of local council guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD (2d) and Solidworks (3d) software
● Work with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
● Write related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
● Ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
● Maintain a library of standard drawing templates
● Update existing drawings as new information becomes available
