We achieve this goal by providing a work environment where people from diverse backgrounds, with a range of skills and experiences can contribute and succeed.

Cybersecurity & Business Resilience Analyst – Sydney

We're looking for an analyst who wants to work on real cyber and resilience challenges in a financial services environment where you’ll see the impact of your work up close.

  • A great opportunity for someone early in their cyber or technology risk career, ready for more hands-on exposure beyond theory

  • Work closely with senior leaders in a business where your contributions influence real decisions in moments that matter

  • If you want breadth, real impact and a strong platform to grow in cyber, risk or resilience, we want to hear from you

  • We work flexibly from our Sydney CBD office — typically three days in the office and two days from home

About the role

We're strengthening our cyber response and operational resilience capability as the business continues to uplift maturity, run crisis simulations, and respond to tighter regulatory expectations. This role is a chance to be part of the team doing that from the inside.

As an analyst in the team, you’ll help improve our Respond and Recover capabilities, identify uplift opportunities from ‘near misses’, support testing and business continuity activities, and see how decisions play out across systems, processes and controls in a regulated environment.

What you'll work on

  • Support and develop cybersecurity and resilience controls, learning how frameworks like CPS230 and NIST are applied in real practice

  • Help identify business continuity risks and improvement opportunities

  • Contribute to cybersecurity incident response readiness, business continuity planning and crisis simulations with senior stakeholders

  • Work with cyber and risk leaders as you grow your technical depth and influencing capability

  • Support uplift programs aligned to regulatory and business priorities

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative professional who brings a solid grounding in cybersecurity or resilience and wants to deepen their capability in a role with real visibility and responsibility.

Technical skills and experience

  • A degree or other relevant qualification in cyber, technology or a related field

  • Around 2–3+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, governance or resilience

  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and automation – whether refining processes, driving operational efficiency, or challenging unnecessary complexity

  • Exposure to risk and GRC frameworks or standards such as NIST CSF, CPS230 and CPS234, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, is helpful – and you’ll deepen your understanding on the job

  • Demonstrated interest in automation, AI or data-led ways of working, with a practical view on how technology can streamline and automate controls, reporting, resilience planning and workflow.

Soft skills & behaviours

  • Someone who stays calm when things move quickly and takes a practical, level-headed approach to problem-solving

  • Curiosity, analytical thinking and strong attention to detail

  • Collaborative, proactive and keen to develop in a changing environment

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload and priorities in a fast-moving environment

  • Strong relationship-builder, able to communicate technical topics clearly and simply to diverse stakeholders
