Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyse complex datasets from multiple sources, including internal systems and third-party integrations, to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure that data is effectively utilised across the organisation.

Collaborate with a diverse team to develop the next generation of Hapana fitness management software for global markets. Assist in designing and constructing data repositories and pipelines. Create and implement tailored reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns and insights that drive decision-making. Apply data analytics and visualisation techniques to gain business insights and solve data-related queries
  • Data Accuracy & Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across all analyses by evaluating the reliability of data and troubleshooting data-related issues
  • Dashboards & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using GoodData and other tools. Prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings and support strategic decision-making
  • Data Management & ETL Processes: Maintain and optimise ETL processes for data integration and transformation. Set up and implement secure processes for data collection, storage, processing and validation
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Support: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights. Support ad-hoc data requests to improve business processes
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Implement and follow data management processes to ensure ethical use and compliance with standards
  • Technical & Documentation Support: Write custom scripts and code for analytical tasks as needed. Document data processes and provide training to team members

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data-related role 
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and an understanding of relational databases
  • Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present data insights clearly to stakeholders
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
  • Familiarity with SaaS industry data or fitness and wellness market trends is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to create clear, effective data visualizations and translate complex data into easily understandable insights
  • Basic understanding of user experience (UX) principles as they apply to dashboard design
  • Experience with creating interactive dashboards that allow users to explore data
  • Ability to adapt visualisation complexity based on audience technical expertise
  • Any other duties required by management
  • This role will be required to be in the Hapana office 3 days a week.
