Your team

As part of the Economic Analytical and Technical Services team in the Reserve Bank’s Economic Analysis Department, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining the Department's trusted data infrastructure that empower rigorous analysis and research that strengthen the monetary policy decision making.

Your role

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines across lifecycle – from extraction to curation and delivery – using R, SQL and proprietary systems.

  • Deliver timely and robust data assets and quality assure visualisations that inform internal research, policy outputs and public communications.

  • Implement and manage technology-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, enrich the data ecosystem within Economic Group and promote the adoption of modernised technologies.

  • Engage and collaborate across teams to improve workflows and data governance and contribute to the strategic priorities of the Department.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, data science or a related field.

  • Demonstrated commitment to data accuracy and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in R, SQL – strong applied skills in data manipulation, coding and analysis.

  • Understanding of economic and statistical concepts and data management.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills
