Job Summary
The Data Insights Lead will be responsible for leading the Data Insights & Analytics function within TCS. They will play a dual role of both leading the team as well as being hands on to contribute to the teams output. Using both internal and external data to unpick what is happening across all aspects of TCS’s performance – leading to a greater understanding of drivers, pushing out meaningful insights and enabling data-led decision making across a large set of stakeholders. Strong SQL & data skills coupled with problem solving skills will enrich your analytics into a compelling and easy to understand story. You’ll possess the drive and natural curiosity to chase down an Insight, constantly pushing for the ‘why’ and for these insights to be actionable and help drive the internal prioritisation of work via the identification of potential benefits. You’ll work both within your team and with others to breakdown business problems, define requirements and build bespoke (repeatable) analytical solutions, whilst sharing key insights in a simplified manner to a diverse group of stakeholders.Job DescriptionWho We Are

What You’ll Do
As the Data Analytics Senior Lead, you are a key contributor to the design, implementation and delivery of strategic data programs that leverage insights and advanced analytics to drive improved service performance, business insights and customer experience. You act as a catalyst by effectively translating business needs into analytical solutions and actions while building the analytical capability necessary to achieve outcomes

Contribute to planning and delivery activities, including identifying resource capacity and resource capability to drive operational performance outcomes.
Use your deep domain expertise to build capability and empower a team of data specialists to provide high-quality data solutions by supporting formal and informal development activities including knowledge-building activities, coaching, support and feedback
Provide input into decisions, from scoping through to implementation, of high stakes programs that deliver end-to-end data analytics solutions to ensure success and improve operational efficiency
Engage with stakeholders across Telstra to build enterprise partnerships, articulating the value of data analytics and influencing the business to use predictive analytics and data solutions to obtain a commercial advantage
Translate the business needs into actionable solutions, applying a commercial and business lens to enable decision-making and resolve problems
Generate action and insights from data, connecting high value data sets, advanced analytics and architecture for internal and external customers
Anticipate potential issues before they arise and develop mitigating actions to address problems and communicate solutions to the team and relevant stakeholders
Build, automate and maintain complex analytics and data queries which compile relevant data on performance and cost strategy analysis to identify opportunities and risks and maximise performance for business areas
Support the continuous development of best practices by staying up to date with leading industry and market trends and contributing to thought leadership that bring to life new methods and technologies to deliver innovative analytical solutions for the business
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, modelling and coaching your team on Agile practices and mindsets when working within Telstra’s Agile operating model
Collaborate with Group Leads and Product Owners to manage and prioritise the work backlog to ensure your team has clarity on OKR contribution, when working within Telstra’s Agile operating model
About You:
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:
Extensive Insights or directly related role within a large Service based organization
Strong analytical skills with proven examples of application
Prior experience in managing a small team
Highly developed SQL and data skills
Highly experienced in extracting, manipulating and analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
Well-developed stakeholder management skills with excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor messages to a diverse stakeholder group
