Job Description

As Data Product Manager within the Consumer Platforms squad, you will partner with the Head of Data Product to deliver core data models that power Nine's integrated consumer platform and maximise consumer lifetime value. Your mission is to explore the entire consumer lifecycle to identify and define enterprise-grade data models, such as propensity scoring and engagement models using data from enterprise platforms. You will manage the product roadmap for these foundational data products, collaborating closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Delivery Managers to ensure successful delivery and post-launch evaluation.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify and define requirements for enterprise-grade data models (e.g., propensity, engagement) and prioritise them within the product roadmap.

  • Partner with the CDP team to ensure models support personalised, cross-brand activation for subscription and advertising goals.

  • Analyse user behavior across on-site and off-site properties to identify model opportunities that drive consumer value.

  • Act as the squad’s central hub, collaborating with engineering and data science to manage delivery and post-launch evaluation.

  • Translate complex business needs and behavioral insights into clear, actionable user stories and product specifications.

  • Consult with Data Governance to ensure all initiatives meet strict privacy standards and ethical data usage guidelines.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years in Product Management, Technical Business Analysis, or a related commercial data role.

  • Ability to bridge technical data concepts with user behavior to define actionable model requirements.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage delivery and evaluation alongside technical teams.

  • Foundational understanding of data structures, SQL, and event-level data for collaboration with engineers.

  • Outcome-driven mindset focused on driving subscription growth and advertising revenue.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Exposure to Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) or enterprise tools like Snowplow.

  • Degree in Data Science, IT, Business, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
