The Data Services Analyst owns the fast lane for data requests—handling extracts, quick-turn analyses, and triage to keep the queue moving. By resolving ad-hoc asks, enforcing intake standards, and scaling repeat work into reusable assets, you’ll help the wider team deliver roadmap projects faster, and with higher quality.
You’ll operate within defined SLAs, maintain consistency across tools and processes, and use AI to handle simpler queries while escalating complex analysis to senior analysts. Over time, you’ll help train, refine, and maintain our AI knowledge base to make insights faster and more accessible across the business.
This will include
Handle Ad-Hoc Requests & Rapid Response
- Deliver data extracts, quick analyses, and standard reports under 1–5 day SLAs.
- Keep the CX queue moving by partnering with CX Ops (e.g., Zendesk extractions) and resolving operational blockers quickly.
- Escalate complex or strategic requests to analysts for roadmap prioritisation.
- Maintain SLAs and communicate status clearly in Jira or Slack.
Triage & Intake Management
- Review and route all incoming requests to the right place—data services, analytics, or backlog.
- Use standard intake briefs to clarify requirements and enforce quality rules.
- Identify missing context or unclear asks early to prevent rework.
- Support automated triage and tagging as part of our AI-enabled intake process.
Turn Repeat Asks into Reuseable Assets
- Spot recurring requests and propose opportunities for dashboards, standard extracts, or reusable templates.
- Collaborate with Senior Analysts to move these into the data product backlog.
- Maintain a library of approved outputs and ensure they stay accurate over time.
Use AI to Accelerate Delivery
- Leverage AI tools for drafting SQL, summarising insights, and producing quick answers.
- Edit and validate AI-generated outputs before sharing.
- Maintain and improve the AI knowledge base—curate prompts, tag reusable queries, and feed learnings back to Data Platforms.
- Help test and improve RAG (retrieval augmented generation) functionality for internal use.
Maintain Data Quality & Consistency
- Validate extracted data for accuracy and completeness before delivery.
- Follow naming conventions, metric definitions, and governance rules.
- Log data quality issues and route them to Data Platforms for remediation.
- Contribute to the maintenance of clean, consistent datasets and documentation.

- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Experience in data extraction, reporting, or business operations support.
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple requests in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Experience using AI tools or large language models (preferred but not required).
