We are seeking for a Database Systems Managementto join our Database Administration teamwithin our Systems Management Division.
You’ll be part of a talented team of Engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure by ensuring system reliability, implementing new features and providing technical support for our Operations.
As a database administrator, your role will be crucial for maintaining, expanding, and troubleshooting our infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Manage and monitor NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.) on prem or on Cloud.
- Install, configure, test and maintain databases.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems availability.
- Maintain optimum performance, security, backup/recovery and redundancy strategies.
- Create and maintain custom scripts to increase systems efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any task.
- Involvement in IT Projects and provide support to Technical Teams.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with Developers to implement those fixes.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of RDBMS.
- Experience with Linux (Red Hat) will be considered as an asset.
- Scripting skills is an important asset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Greek and English).
