About the Role

Reporting to the Sales and Operations Planning Manager, in this position you will partner with senior sales and marketing leaders across Ecolab, working closely with them to develop accurate demand-based sales forecasts. You will be an expert at using statistical forecasting software, fine tuning using your commercial acumen and adding intelligence to the forecast through your business partnering skills. The forecasts that you develop will integrate with the Supply Plan and Business Unit/ Divisional plans.  

Your Responsibilities:

  • Using demand-modelling techniques, statistical analysis and liaison with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to develop sales forecasts

  • Develop aggregate demand forecasts and supporting assumptions on a monthly basis for use in the Demand Review and Sales & Operations Planning Meetings

  • Establish, maintain, and utilize forecasting tools and processes for developing the demand plan

  • Manage key KPIs to measure the accuracy/bias in demand forecasts to drive improvement

  • Be the day-to day point of contact for supply planning, including the master production scheduler, to manage change and balance supply/demand to achieve optimal balance of customer service levels and supply chain efficiency

  • Drive the Sales & Operations Planning process for assigned Business Units

  • Product Life Cycle Management based on Business Strategies

By nature, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

  • A curious attitude

  • Forecasting, sales, marketing or finance background

  • Exposure or understanding of supply chain functions

  • Can see the 'big picture' while paying attention to detail

  • Confidence to run meetings with sales and marketing teams to understand their sales forecasts, whilst bringing in your analytical skills

  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate across different divisions

  • Be driven by continuous improvement

  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills

  • Be comfortable and skilled at learning new ERP systems
