About the Role

As a Marketing / Brand Designer (Motion-Led), you'll bring our brand storytelling to life across video, web, social, and events, designing and producing work for campaigns, product narratives, and the covergenius.com experience.

This is an all-rounder role with motion at its core (roughly 60/40 motion to static), reporting into brand/marketing as an individual contributor. You'll move between animating in After Effects (campaigns, socials, event reels, web-ready animations) and crafting static work with the same rigour: key visuals, social, decks, one-pagers, event graphics and more. You'll partner with marketing, growth, brand, and product to turn complex insurance and product concepts into clear, on-brand work that performs.

The ideal candidate is a genuine all-rounder with strong motion skills backed by real design fundamentals in typography, composition, and brand systems, plus a proactive appetite for AI tools to scale creative output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design across the full marketing mix: paid social, organic, web, email, sales collateral, event and campaign assets, in both motion and static.

  • Concept, storyboard, and produce motion graphics and animated content for paid social, organic, web, sales, and event channels.

  • Design on-brand static work with the same level of craft as motion: campaign key visuals, social sets, decks, one-pagers, event graphics, and OOH or print where required.

  • Edit and post-produce video content, including campaign films, product explainers, social cutdowns, and event reels.

  • Bring covergenius.com to life across layout and motion: hero moments, micro-interactions, scroll-triggered behaviour, and Lottie or web-ready assets.

  • Turn data, product UI, and complex insurance concepts into clear visual stories, animated or still.

  • Apply and extend the brand system across formats, keeping typography, colour, and composition consistent as volume scales.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the brand's motion and visual language, including templates, presets, and a shared asset library.

  • Experiment with AI-driven design and production tools (Runway, Magnific, Rive, Midjourney, Kling, ElevenLabs) to improve speed and creative range.

Skills & Experience

What you will bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of design experience in a brand, marketing, or agency environment, with a portfolio that shows both strong static design and motion craft.

  • Motion is a prerequisite: strong proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Working knowledge of Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar 3D tools is a plus.

  • Genuine design fundamentals: typography, layout, colour, composition, and hierarchy, evidenced by campaign or brand work that stands up without animation.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).

  • Experience working inside an established brand system, and confidence extending it rather than only executing to spec.

  • Experience producing Lottie animations or web-ready motion. Familiarity with Webflow, Rive, or similar is a plus.

  • Comfort with sound design, music selection, and basic audio editing for video.

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and a desire to build them into production workflows.

  • Ability to take complex or technical concepts and translate them into clear, engaging work across formats.

What you will have:

  • A storyteller's mindset, with an instinct for the right format: sometimes a film, sometimes a single frame.

  • Range without a drop in quality, moving between long-form video, short-form social, web motion, and static campaign design in the same week.

  • Strong collaborator who works closely with brand designers, marketers, product marketing, and producers.

  • Tech-forward approach, constantly looking for ways to improve production through AI or new software.

  • Curious, proactive, and open to feedback in a fast-paced environment.
