As a Data Platform Digital Solution Engineer (DSE), you will play a pivotal role in helping Microsoft Elevate customers unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s cloud database and analytics stack across every stage of deployment. You will work directly with technical and business stakeholders to design secure, scalable, and resilient database and analytics architectures that support business-critical applications and Frontier AI transformation. As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll guide customers and win their technical decisions on Azure for their database and analytics deployment.You bring deep expertise in database and analytics workloads—including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Azure Databases SQL DB, Cosmos DB, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL while exploring how Agentic AI can accelerate Frontier transformation.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping them unlock the full value of Microsoft Cloud & AI solutions and guiding technical decision-making across database, analytics, and AI workloads.

• Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures that support business-critical applications, data modernization initiatives, and Frontier AI transformation.

• Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, solution demonstrations, proof of concepts, and deployment engagements to accelerate customer adoption of Azure services.

• Apply deep technical expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, and modern analytics platforms to solve complex customer challenges.

• Guide customers through database and analytics modernization journeys, influencing technical decisions and accelerating migrations to Azure.

• Partner with sales, customer success, and partner teams to develop technical strategies, remove deployment blockers, and drive successful customer outcomes.

• Demonstrate emerging technologies, including Agentic AI and advanced analytics, to help customers accelerate innovation and realize measurable business value.

• Capture customer feedback, competitive insights, and market trends while contributing to technical readiness, knowledge sharing, and the broader Cloud & AI community.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, cloud architecture, or related customer-facing technical roles.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data, analytics, and AI solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience leading technical customer engagements, including discovery workshops, architecture design sessions, proof-of-concepts, technical presentations, and deployment planning activities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of database modernization, analytics platforms, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise-scale data solutions.
  • Ability to engage technical and business stakeholders, translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and drive technical decision-making.
  • Relevant cloud or data platform certifications from Microsoft or other leading cloud providers are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, cloud solutions architecture, or related technology-focused roles.
  • Experience with cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure architectures, migration strategies, and enterprise technology modernization initiatives.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure technologies, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, or related cloud and security certifications.
  • Experience with database migration and modernization programs, enterprise data warehousing, data lakes, big data platforms, and AI-enabled analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern AI technologies, including Generative AI and Agentic AI, and their application in data, analytics, and business transformation scenarios.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit, education, government, or mission-driven organizations through digital transformation initiatives is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical strategy and adoption across diverse customer environments.
