The Opportunity
This is a newly created leadership role that brings together Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics and Safety Coding under a single, integrated structure. The Director of Biometrics will provide both strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the effective capture, analysis and reporting of clinical data to support regulatory submissions, product development and business decision-making.
A key focus of the role is aligning these interdependent teams for the first time, while shaping future capabilities in data, analytics and digital platforms across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and integrate Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, Analytics and Safety Coding teams
Set and deliver the biometrics strategy aligned to enterprise objectives
Oversee end-to-end delivery of clinical data capture, statistical analysis, safety coding and reporting
Establish integrated planning, governance and performance frameworks to support delivery at scale
Drive adoption of technology, automation and AI to improve efficiency, quality and speed
Partner across the business to build enterprise-wide data and analytics capability
Lead operational excellence, including budgeting, risk management, performance metrics and continuous improvement
Ensure quality and compliance with Clinical Investigation Plans, QMS and regulatory requirements
Maintain oversight of vendor relationships and external service providers
What You’ll Bring
Proven senior leadership experience (ideally at Director level)
Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams in data, analytics or clinical environments
Strong track record of transformation, particularly in integrating teams and improving ways of working
Solid understanding of clinical data, analytics or biostatistics (healthcare, medtech or pharma preferred)
Ability to operate in ambiguity and influence across diverse stakeholder groups
Focus on building capability, developing people and delivering enterprise value
