Cochlear is the global market leader in implant hearing solutions. Cochlear's mission is to help people hear and be heard. Around the world, more people chose a Cochlear-branded hearing implant system than any other. A Cochlear Implant is an electronic device that is surgically implanted under the skin near the ear that restores hearing to those who suffer from severe hearing loss. It’s an incredible piece of engineering and the only product in the world that restores a sense through technology. Imagine using your experience to help people around the world to hear again. We can offer a unique opportunity to join Cochlear, an iconic Australian company, leading the world in implantable hearing solutions. Our mission is to help more people to hear.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a commercially minded Director, Digital Commercial Analytics to lead a newly created global function. This high-impact role will be the strategic brain behind our digital analytics transformation—turning rich data into actionable insights that drive business decisions, marketing performance, and customer lifetime value.

You’ll lead a global team of analytics professionals, partner across marketing, data, IT, and product, and shape how we measure success across digital channels. This is more than dashboards—it’s about storytelling, attribution, and strategic influence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of a global digital commercial strategy and centralised digital analytics function.

  • Build and scale a high-performing analytics team across global regions.

  • Develop and own global digital attribution models and performance frameworks.

  • Translate complex data into compelling business narratives and strategic insights.

  • Partner with regional leaders to optimise marketing spend and campaign effectiveness.

  • Drive a culture of commerciality, performance mindset, and data-first decision-making.

  • Champion better data access, trust, and enablement across the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong grasp of digital channels and their commercial impact, along with a sophisticated understanding of customer journeys and segmentation. You’ll be skilled in developing data-driven strategies, managing advanced data infrastructure, and implementing performance frameworks that guide marketing decisions. Proficiency in tools like SQL, Tableau, or Power BI is essential, as is experience in marketing mix modelling, multi-touch attribution, and data governance. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable insights will be key to driving commercial success.

Essential Requirements:

  • A problem solver with strong strategic and commercial acumen.

  • Experienced in building and scaling analytics teams in complex, global environments.

  • Able to operate at multiple levels—connecting with individual contributors and executives alike.

  • Background in data science, analytics, or digital marketing (ideal but not essential).

  • Deep understanding of enterprise data with a marketing and customer experience lens.

  • Comfortable working across global time zones (including global travel) and leading international teams.

  • Experienced working in highly regulated industries (e.g., financial services, telco, health tech).

  • Consulting experience is highly desirable
