Job Summary:

As the Director of  Product at Hapana you will lead the product team and oversee the development, execution and evolution of our product vision. You will play a critical role in ensuring our platform continues to meet and exceed the needs of our customers while driving business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product management, a strong user-centric approach and the ability to work cross-functionally with development, customer success,  marketing and sales teams to deliver impactful product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, shape and communicate Hapana's product vision, strategy and roadmap, while leading market research, competitive analysis and customer insights to drive innovation, prioritise initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals and customer needs.
  • Champion strategic initiatives across product lines and business units, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder buy-in at all levels. 
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to the product team and act as a product evangelist to secure buy-in and alignment from key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery from ideation to post-launch evaluation. 
  • Collaborating with engineering to meet scope and deadlines and using key metrics and user feedback to make data-driven decisions for continuous optimisation
  • Champion the voice of the customer by prioritising user needs in product decisions, overseeing user research, feedback loops and usability testing to enhance the user experience.  
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement to keep Hapana's platform at the forefront of the fitness industry
  • Build and lead a high-performing product team by providing mentorship to ensure professional growth, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture that encourages ownership and accountability. 
  • Drive the development of efficient, agile and high-quality product management processes and frameworks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor offerings to drive product innovation, evaluate market demands to capitalise on growth opportunities. 
  • Ensure Hapana’s product remains relevant, scalable and adaptable to evolving customer needs and market conditions.
  • Oversee the prioritization of the product portfolio, ensuring resources are allocated toward high-impact opportunities
  • Influence and partner with C-level executives to shape long-term strategy and product direction.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure product success, customer engagement, adoption, and retention
  • Co-own go-to-market strategies with Marketing and Sales leadership, ensuring product readiness, messaging alignment, and coordinated launches.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role within a SaaS company.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling product teams while delivering innovative, customer-centric products.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable product plans.
  • Expertise across the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and iteration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or a related field is a plus (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, marketing and sales.
  • Ability to think both tactically and strategically, balancing short-term wins with long-term vision
  • Experience in the fitness, healthtech, or wellness industry would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Passion for building impactful products that improve customer outcomes and business performance.
