At Penguin Random House Australia, we're passionate about connecting readers with books they'll love. We're looking for a commercially minded DK Sales Planning Manager to help drive the continued success of Dorling Kindersley (DK) across Australia and New Zealand in our North Sydney office.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing markets, identifying growth opportunities and working collaboratively across sales, marketing and publishing to deliver commercial results.

Job Description

Reporting to the Product & DK Director, you'll support the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the DK publishing program across ANZ.

 

Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product and our global DK colleagues, you'll identify opportunities to grow sales, monitor business performance and use data and market insights to help shape future initiatives.

 

This role offers a great mix of commercial analysis, strategic planning and relationship management in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

What you will do:

  • Help develop and deliver DK's ANZ growth strategy
  • Identify new commercial and market opportunities
  • Analyse sales trends and performance to inform business decisions
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development to identify channel growth opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the DK global team
  • Monitor performance and recommend actions to improve results
  • Influence and motivate the sales team to achieve growth targets and improve performance.

 

What you will bring:

You'll bring commercial curiosity, strong analytical skills and a passion for growing brands. Ideally you'll have:

  • Experience in sales, category management, business development or commercial planning
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with data and insights
  • Experience identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Strong planning and organisational capability
  • Experience in publishing, retail or FMCG will be highly regarded, although not essential
