We’re looking for a motivated, experienced nurse with a strong background in leadership and emergency care to work closely with the Business Manager, Veterinary Director, GP Head Nurse and GP Veterinary Team Leader.
What you’ll be doing each day;
- Managing a team of Emergency Vet Nurses
- Supporting our busy Emergency Vet teams
- Guiding and developing the Vet Nurse teams, building a positive team culture
- Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
- Performing minor procedures when required
What you’ll bring;
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a vet nurse
- ECC nursing experience
- Confidence in working within a busy hospital setting
- Team building skills with previous experience leading and/or mentoring a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work every second weekend advantageous
