About the role

 

You will play a key role in leading complex employee and industrial relations initiatives across the business. Based in Brisbane or Sydney, this position supports strategic projects including enterprise bargaining, organisational change, compliance programs and transformation activities.

This is an opportunity for an experienced ER professional to influence business outcomes, provide trusted advice to leaders, and contribute to the development of best practice employee and industrial relations frameworks across Ampol

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead and support enterprise bargaining activities, including union engagement and negotiation planning.
  • Provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters, awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation.
  • Contribute to proactive compliance projects and ER initiatives that strengthen governance and reduce risk.
  • Support and represent the business in employee claims, disputes and Fair Work Commission matters where required.
  • Build productive relationships with unions and employee representatives.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, industrial relations or workplace relations within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise bargaining, enterprise agreements, award interpretation and employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting or leading enterprise agreement negotiations and union engagement activities.
  • Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and industrial relations processes.
  • Experience supporting business change, restructures, M&A activity or organisational transformation programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.
