The Opportunity

Fixed Term Contract, Based in Melbourne Victoria, until October 2027.

As an Engagement Associate, you'll play a meaningful role in helping people navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. You'll be a trusted guide, advocate and source of support, helping candidates understand their hearing implant options and empowering them throughout their hearing journey.

Make a real difference, every day

This is more than a customer engagement role.

You will build genuine relationships with people exploring hearing solutions, offering personalised support, timely information and compassionate guidance. Every conversation is an opportunity to provide clarity, confidence and hope.

Working closely with our Marketing, Sales, Clinical and Customer Service teams, you'll help create a seamless experience for candidates from their first enquiry through to implantation and beyond.

What you'll be doingGuide and support

Build trusted relationships with candidates and their families, providing personalised mentoring, education and encouragement throughout their decision-making journey.

Connect and collaborate

Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure candidates receive the right support, information and access to services when they need it most.

Engage and inspire

Represent Cochlear at consumer and professional events, helping people better understand the possibilities that hearing solutions can create.

Learn and improve

Track insights, identify trends and contribute ideas that help us continually enhance the experience we provide to the people we serve.

About you

You may come from healthcare, patient engagement, customer experience, consumer sales or a relationship-focused environment. Most importantly, you're someone who cares deeply about people and takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences.

You'll bring:

  • Strong communication skills and confidence building relationships over the phone, via email and in person.

  • Natural empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to meet people where they are in their journey.

  • A proactive mindset and a commitment to following through on promises.

  • Excellent organisation skills and comfort working with data and digital tools.

  • The ability to influence, build trust and help people make informed decisions.

Experience in patient support, hearing health, audiology or healthcare is valuable, but not essential. We're equally interested in people who are passionate about helping others and eager to learn
