  • Incident Ownership: Ensure all platform incidents are fully owned and resolved efficiently.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Product Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between engineering and product, partnering with your product counterpart to ensure full alignment.

  • Communication: Communicate progress transparently and escalate issues effectively.

People Management

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers across varying levels, creating group stability and a culture of ownership and feedback.

  • Talent Development: Provide coaching, regular performance reviews, and clear career pathing.

  • Performance & Well-being: Manage performance and team well-being, initiating corrective actions when needed.

  • Hiring & Retention: Demonstrate the ability to hire, grow, and retain high-performing engineering talent.

Process & Performance

  • KPI Accountability: Accountable for team-level success and KPIs (velocity, quality, on-time delivery, morale, and staffing).

  • Execution: Ensure company processes are effectively and timely executed.

  • Budgeting: Manage a limited budget for tools or specific project costs as needed.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar engineering leadership role.

  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, agile processes, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.

  • A strong passion for technology, innovation, and modern system design.
