A Day in the LifeThe Enterprise Accounts function partners with private hospital groups and healthcare providers across Australia and New Zealand to develop strategic commercial partnerships that improve access to healthcare solutions across the Medical Surgical, Cardiovascular, and Neuroscience portfolios. This team works closely with Operating Unit leaders and customer executives to deliver customer-focused solutions, support long-term growth, and strengthen Medtronic's position within key accounts.
This role is based in Macquarie Park, NSW and operates in a hybrid work environment. The position supports the East Territory, including New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, and New Zealand. Travel throughout the assigned region is required.

As Enterprise Account Leader of East region, you will lead a team of Strategic Account Managers responsible for driving growth and strengthening customer partnerships across key private healthcare accounts. The role combines people leadership, commercial strategy, contract negotiations, financial management, and executive-level customer engagement to achieve business objectives across the East Territory.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a regional team of Strategic Account Managers, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.

  • Develop and execute enterprise account strategies that support annual operating plan targets, revenue growth, and business objectives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital and buying group executive stakeholders, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and procurement leaders.

  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, customer contracts, pricing arrangements, and partnership terms across assigned accounts.

  • Collaborate with Operating Unit and functional leaders to identify customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and expand business opportunities.

  • Analyse account performance, market trends, customer insights, and commercial data to identify growth opportunities and improve account penetration.

  • Lead customer presentations, business reviews, and contract negotiations to secure profitable and sustainable business outcomes.

  • Manage sales forecasting, annual planning activities, and operational processes to support achievement of territory and team goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in senior sales, marketing, commercial, or strategic account leadership roles with a demonstrated track record of achieving business results.

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams of sales professionals.

  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies, territory plans, and annual operating plans.

  • Experience managing commercial negotiations, customer contracts, pricing discussions, and revenue performance.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in business, commerce, marketing, healthcare management, or a related discipline.

  • Experience within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or broader healthcare services sector.

  • Experience engaging and presenting to executive leadership teams and board-level stakeholders.

  • Advanced experience with budgeting, forecasting, revenue analysis, and commercial performance management.

  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems and advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
