About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

Empower public sector transformation through data and analytics.

Help federal agencies harness the power of data. Drive meaningful impact for millions of Australians.

We’re looking for a results-driven Account Executive to join Salesforce’s Tableau team, partnering with Australia’s Federal Government to enable better, faster, and more transparent decisions through data.

Based in Canberra, you’ll work with key agencies, including Defence, Health, and Social Services, guiding them through digital and data-led transformation using Tableau, the world’s leading analytics platform.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the sales cycle for a defined set of federal government accounts, from identifying opportunities to closing strategic deals.

  • Develop tailored account plans aligned to government goals, procurement processes, and stakeholder priorities.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with key public sector decision-makers, influencers, and executives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with BDRs, Pre-Sales, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver impactful, value-led engagements.

  • Showcase Tableau’s capabilities in solving real-world government data challenges—driving transformation across services and departments.

  • Maintain high standards of CRM forecasting and account documentation, enabling proactive and data-driven sales strategies.

What we’re looking for
  • A successful track record in enterprise or public sector solution selling, ideally in SaaS, analytics, or data platforms.

  • Prior experience working with or selling into federal government agencies (APS experience highly desirable).

  • Understanding of government procurement, funding cycles, and digital transformation objectives.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, especially within structured, complex organisations.

  • A Canberra-based team player who is comfortable leading engagements with government clients and collaborating across Salesforce teams.

What’s in it for you
  • Join a global leader consistently ranked among the best places to work.

  • Do work that matters, with real-world impact on public policy, transparency, and service delivery.

  • Work with autonomy and purpose in a high-performing, collaborative team.

  • Access outstanding benefits:

    • 7 days of paid volunteer leave per year + donation matching

    • Health, Life, Trauma & Income insurance

    • Monthly wellness allowance

    • Parental leave benefits

    • Flexible time off

    • Generous learning, development, and career progression support

    • IVF, Adoption and Fertility Support programs
