Sales Representative Oceania

Job Position: Sales Representative

Business Unit/Country: EOSS (Electronics and Optical Sensing Solutions)

Location: Sydney (Liverpool)

Job Summary :

Responsible for finding opportunities for monitoring solutions in Oceania from High Voltage to Low Voltage applications, not excluding pipeline and other sectors. Convince customers to include monitoring solution in tenders as well as offering in retrofitting on already existing projects. Close collaboration with Prysmian and EOSS team will be key to succeed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proactively look for new opportunities to sell Company's monitoring products & services

  • coordinate customer needs by communicating with all departments within the company to boost sales

  • make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs

  • coordinate new product implementation; presentations, training materials, and product information/documentation

  • help in the design of new product

  • provide training and produce support material for both internal sales team and customers

  • provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education

  • work with CRM (SalesForce) and update regular the EOSS CCO about leads, actions and support needed

  • support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

  • keep updated on market trends and liaise with industry technical experts

  • follow Legal and Compliance guidelines of Prysmian

Additional Information :

  • The Sales Representative for EOSS will work in an international team made of highly skilled engineers and will coordinate the activities with internal functions. Also, he/she will liaise with internal and external stakeholders (Sales Managers, Project Managers, R&D, Operations, Installation Engineers, Customers, Quality, etc.).

  • The engineering activity is structured as to cover a wide range of tasks, including document preparation, participation to meeting with customers, contribution to product development.

  • Along with the daily work, the Sales Representative will develop different skills like flexibility, good relationship approach, team mindset, ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision, good communication at all levels, within Prysmian and with customers

  • Along with the daily work, the Sales Representative will deepen the knowledge of a variety of technical aspects, including design and engineering of monitoring systems and instruments, knowledge of the monitoring installation process, theoretical knowledge on Partial Discharges, Current monitoring, Distributed Monitoring systems with fiber optic and ability to apply the theory also for new challenging and innovative approaches for monitoring systems design.

  • Apart from the core businesses made of Power (Cable Monitoring) and Pipeline, it’s key that the Sales Representative remains open on potential new opportunities based on standard solutions, or create new opportunities coordinating development with R&D.
