Working closely with senior leaders, you'll help drive major initiatives, coordinate strategic priorities and enable effective decision-making across one of Griffith University's largest and most dynamic academic schools.

Based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, you'll also be part of a region experiencing unprecedented growth as South-East Queensland prepares to host the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The School's contributions across allied health, sport and social work will help shape the future health workforce, research capability and community outcomes.

Job Description

The Griffith School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work is seeking an exceptional Executive Officer to partner with the School Executive Team and help drive strategic and operational success across one of Australia's leading health education and research environments.

Reporting to the School Manager, the Executive Officer is a trusted strategic partner to the School Executive Team, leading priority initiatives, coordinating complex projects and enabling informed decision-making across the School. The role combines strategic planning, governance, operational oversight and executive support, offering exceptional variety and influence.

You are a highly capable professional who thrives in complex and fast-paced environments where no two days are the same.

You enjoy working at the intersection of strategy, operations and leadership, bringing curiosity, initiative and sound judgement to complex challenges. You identify opportunities for improvement, anticipate issues before they arise and confidently translate ideas into practical outcomes.

You build trusted relationships quickly and are confident working with senior leaders and stakeholders across a complex organisation. Whether preparing executive briefings, leading projects or facilitating consultation, you bring professionalism, adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. Comfortable with ambiguity, you thrive on challenge and take ownership of delivering outcomes.

What we can offer
This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position based at Griffith University, Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.  

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $117,579 - $132,273 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $137,567 - $154,759 per annum.
