Job Description

Our Audit teams provide value to our clients by delivering specialised quality audit and assurance services. High-quality, independent financial statement audits are essential to maintaining investor confidence. Our audit professionals are committed to the public interest, challenging assumptions, and unlocking valuable insights based on a solid understanding of an organisation’s business and industry. 

Please note that prior experience within the commodities trading sector is essential for this role. Candidates without relevant commodities trading experience will not be considered.

Your Experience

  • Understanding of large group audit engagements for financial services clients  

  • Understanding of commodities sectors, including gas, power, emissions, agriculture, oil and metals, including knowledge of financial, operational, and regulatory considerations 

  • Understanding of investment banking and/or retail banking, including knowledge of financial, operational and regulatory considerations 

  • Understanding of credit risk, including knowledge of financial, operational and regulatory considerations 

  • Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including significant experience in interpreting and applying IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 13 Fair Value, IFRS 16 Leases and IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers 

  • Understanding of APRA regulations is desirable 

  • Strong analytical and project management skills
