Your Role
Responsible for the administration of Facultative Reinsurance (FAC RI) activities across the Property, Casualty, Financial Lines & Marine business in Australia and New Zealand. The focus is on effective management, compliance, and reporting of all FAC RI processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration of FAC RI Purchases
- Maintain the FAC RI register:
- Maintain Aggregate Reports
- Monitor FAC RI compliance, premium collections, and payments with FAC RI partners and broker partners.
- Identify appropriate reinsurers, capacity, pricing.
- Serve as the primary contact for reinsurance codes queries.
Collaboration & Reconciliation
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, CBS, and Underwriting teams to resolve FAC RI reconciliation issues.
- Track payments to Reinsurers and reconcile accounts
Reporting & Projects
- Manage FAC RI reporting for Australia & New Zealand (A&NZ) Management as required.
- Ensure placements meet local insurance regulations.
- Provide management with placement summaries, capacity utilization and reinsurance performance metrics
- Complete special projects and assignments related to FAC RI.
Audit & Committee Participation
- Provide support and assistance with FAC RI audits.
- Maintain documentation trails for internal and external Audits
- Participate in Country Reinsurance Committee meetings.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Degree qualified or ANZIIF Qualifications
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance administration, preferably in Property & Casualty.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, Strong attention to detail and compliance orientation, Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of all insurance products, specialising in reinsurance.
- Proficiency in managing registers, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
