We currently have two opportunities for Fibre Designers to join the Fibre Operations team. Reporting to the Lead Fibre Designer you will play a key role in the successful design and rollout of ABB’s Fibre Network.

Let’s talk about you

  • An understanding of the telco industry, specifically pit & pipe construction
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Earth & Telstra ADR
  • Knowledge of Telstra’s TM42/W07 standards
  • Demonstrated ability with problem solving
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Learn quickly and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong Attention to detail

How will you support our “Why?” 

  • Designing the company’s fibre network.
  • Working alongside the GIS team to ensure up to date information.
  • Engaging external stakeholders where required (Councils & Contractors).
  • Working with internal stakeholders to obtain up to date network information.
  • Creating Initial Plans, Construction Plans & Splicing Schedules.
  • Assisting with pre-sales service qualifications.
  • Preparing bills of materials where required
