The Field Sales Manager is responsible for the execution of in-store plans within the state. They are responsible for fostering a high performance Red Bull team that meets and exceeds targets and budgets in their geographic territory of Off Premise (Route, P&C, Non-Traditional, Independent and Corporate Grocery) accounts. The Field Sales Manager is responsible for embedding the “Power Selling” process within their team of Strikers as well as providing on the job training on Red Bull principles to DP reps, while fostering relationships with DP Field Sales Managers. 

Job Description

EXECUTION OF CYCLE PLAN

You are responsible for executing the plans outlined in the monthly cycle plan across non-bannered trade, P&C, Corporate and Independent Grocery.

COACH

You will coach Strikers to embed the “Power selling” principles, journey planning, problem solving, negotiation and in-store standards, and coach DP reps in the general principles of selling Red Bull with the view of increasing distribution. You will also coach Corporate Strikers to reduce out of stocks, increase compliance, and sell over & above opportunities within Corporate Grocery.

FIELD SALES MANAGEMENT

You will manage the team to achieve trimesterly targets set out through the Business Plan. Allocate team resources to achieve the most efficient and effective territory coverage for the state. Ensure effective journey planning to achieve correct call frequency. Execute systems, processes and tools to help Strikers achieve their set targets.

RELATIONSHIPS

You will hold relationships with State Key Account Managers to effectively implement their plans set out through the Cycle Planning Process. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to provide feedback and suggestions on local initiatives and moments. Work closely with DP Field Sales Managers to ensure effective execution of local DP route plans, and establish relationships with grocery, P&C and non bannered trade accounts

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT & SUCCESSION PLANNING 

You are responsible for holding formal reviews with Strikers on performance while developing individual career development plans for team members, and initiating succession plans and programs for identified high performers within the team.

DAYS IN TRADE & TRAVEL 

You will spend days on the road visiting outlets with your Red Bull Strikers & your DP Representatives. All days in trade will be a minimum half day accompaniment.

Qualifications

5+ years field sales experience within the FMCG industry

2+ years people management experience 

Demonstrable team management and leadership experience

Strong reporting and analysis skills and commercial acumen
