About the Role

Join the Group Financial Control team and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and controls across Perpetual Group. As a Finance Analyst, you will support the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to management, regulators, the Board and external stakeholders. This role provides broad exposure to statutory reporting, technical accounting, financial control activities, external audit and management reporting within a complex ASX-listed environment.

You will:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements for Perpetual Group and its subsidiaries in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.

  • Deliver accurate and timely group financial reporting to management and key stakeholders.

  • Assist in maintaining Group accounting policies and supporting the implementation of new accounting standards.

  • Contribute to technical accounting assessments and papers for senior management and the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.

  • Contribute to Board, CFO and executive reporting, including forecasting, budgeting and business planning activities.

  • Partner with external auditors and coordinate audit requests to support the efficient completion of audits.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial controls, reporting processes and system efficiencies.

About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional looking to build your career within a complex corporate environment. You may be seeking your first move from audit or already working in financial accounting and looking to broaden your exposure to group reporting and technical accounting.

You will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).

  • 2-5 years' experience in audit, financial accounting or group reporting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial statement preparation.

  • Experience working within a large corporate, listed company or professional services environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems such as OneStream, TM1, TechOne or similar.

  • Big Four audit experience and/or exposure to ASX-listed reporting requirements will be highly regarded.
