As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role within our Finance team, providing decision support and partnering closely with operational business units to help drive EML’s strategic and commercial objectives.
You’ll work alongside stakeholders to maximise commercial outcomes, influencing decision-making and supporting leaders to understand, monitor and improve their financial performance.
In this role, you’ll develop and refine financial models to support pricing, tenders and profitability analysis, while also contributing to core planning activities including the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts.
This will be a full time, 6 month contract, based in our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Tweed Heads office, with work-from-home flexibility (up to 3 days per week).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the business, alongside Finance Business Partners, to support strategic objectives and drive commercial outcomes.
Prepare timely, accurate reporting and analysis, providing clear insights into performance, trends and emerging risks.
Build and maintain budgets, reforecasts and driver-based models, ensuring assumptions are documented and aligned.
Contribute to pricing, business cases and commercial analysis, including building and stress-testing financial models.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather inputs, validate data and communicate insights, while maintaining strong processes, governance and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
2+ years’ experience in a similar role within a large complex environment.
Strong analytical capability, with experience identifying trends, insights and anomalies in data.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial modelling.
Exposure to BI tools and systems (highly regarded).
Experience working with budgeting, forecasting and general ledger systems.
CA or CPA qualified, or currently close to completion.
