Job Description

  • Lead and influence our long-term financial strategy in Qantas Loyalty 
  • Partner with the business to provide strategic financial insights and commercial advice that drives value across Qantas Loyalty business units

As the Finance Business Partner Lead for B2C, you will collaborate with the business and the Head of Finance to provide strategic commercial insights and deliver effective planning, analysis and financial oversight. You will proactively support, challenge and drive the B2C segment’s P&L performance, ensuring that commercial initiatives and operational structures are optimised to meet financial targets.

You will lead and advise senior Finance and Commercial stakeholders on Stewardship & Risk Management—including financial compliance and group management—while driving continuous improvement and cross-segment interaction between FBP leads. In this role, you will partner closely with the Executive Manager and act as the primary delegate for the Head of Finance when required, whilst also focusing on mentoring and developing your direct team.

Critical to your success is the ability to lead and influence stakeholders across diverse commercial areas, including long-term strategy, market and competitor analysis, contract negotiations, tactical campaigns, and partner marketing ROI whilst ensuring long-term financial plans are scrutinised and executed with commercial rigor.

What you’ll bring to the role: 

  • 10+ years relevant experience including 5 years+ in key finance leadership roles
  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline and post graduate qualifications (e.g. CPA/CA)
  • Significant experience leading large teams in complex matrix environments 
  • Extensive financial knowledge and experience 
  • Resource management experience in a project context
  • Ability to positively influence stakeholders to overcome roadblocks to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Superior communication and influencing skills Intellectual capability to quickly understand, apply, and embed new concepts in a complex business environment
  • Strong sense of urgency, focus on outcomes and drive for success
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams and to lead to successful business outcomes
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting objectives in order to deliver key milestones
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial and/or problem solving skills.
  • Own and develop relationships in the business Influence senior leadership decisions
