About the Role

The Finance team provides comprehensive financial support and guidance across the entire business. We service both client-facing teams and other shared services teams, ensuring that all financial aspects are managed efficiently and effectively with the appropriate level of controls.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Manager to join our National Finance Business Partnering team to provide high‑level financial leadership, strategic insight, and commercially‑focused analytical support. A core purpose of the role is to manage senior finance partners and uplift the capability of the Finance Business Partnering team—embedding best practice, strengthening commercial thinking, and moving the function further towards proactive, insight‑led partnership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage members of the team to coach and mentor to raise capability, consistency and confidence in business partnering
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance across cross centres.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand business requirements and provide financial support and guidance.
  • Prepare Board and other leadership reports and commentary
  • Evaluate and challenge investment proposals and business cases, applying commercial rigour and ROI analysis.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the organisation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting for Shared Services, partnering with functional leaders to set targets and drive accountability.  Support the budgeting process with the team for client facing areas
  • Development of financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning and continued growth.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships through effective partnering and proactive nature.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong and lengthy background in management accounting, financial analysis, business partnering, and reporting.

Combined with:

  • Leadership and coaching capability to uplift team performance and embed best‑practice partnering.
  • A degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CA or CPA equivalent qualification.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning system experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience with leading national teams through business planning
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power Query).
  • Eagerness to stay adaptable and embrace new methodologies and technologies as we expand our reporting and analytics capabilities.
