About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both accounting and payment processes, with a proven track record of managing full set of accounts. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • End-to-end month end processes from transactions recording to monthly variance analysis and reporting.

  • AP & AR - processing of invoices and expense reports. Work closely with cross departments to resolve invoice and payment queries.

  • Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports.

  • Prepare for month end closing in Oracle Net Suites.

  • Manage GST Reporting – Filing quarterly GST returns.

  • In conjunction with Senior Manager, Finance, prepare and update quarterly budget and analyse budget vs actual.

  • Communicate well within the team and make sure internal deadlines and reporting/planning expectations are met.

  • In conjunction with Senior Manager, Finance, act as liaison with auditors and tax representatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data requests and integration into financial systems.

  • Support documentation on policy and process

  • Process enhancement and continuous improvement

  • Support ad-hoc projects when necessary.

 

What We Look For In You:

  • CA/CPA qualified

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related disciplines

  • At least 5 years relevant experience (audit experience in big 4 is an added advantage)

  • Highly developed technical skills with a working understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation and corporate reporting, preferably in the financial services sector

  • Basic knowledge on Australian GST and understanding of the requirements for Australian GST claims

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel. Experience in using Oracle (Net Suite) is an added advantage

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, inter-personal and communication skills

  • A good team player
