Performs financial and commercial analysis, reviews financial statements, assesses credit risk, normalizes company information, and prepares client reports. The role supports strategic financial objectives, manages stakeholder communications, handles client queries, completes Fit2Work checks, and ensures compliance with policies and service-level requirements.
What you’ll do
The Financial Analyst will undertake financial analysis and review financial and commercial reports / prepare and analyse financial reviews. This involves providing proactive insightful financial analysis to enable the business unit to reach its short and long term strategic financial objectives. Other key deliverables:
- Procurement of annual reports, financial and operational information
- Undertaking Fit2Work checks on behalf of client for respective assessments
- Accurate and timely cleansing / normalisation of company information to ensure consistency and uniformity
- Analysing financial statements, ratios, macro and industry risk factors to identify credit risk
- Application of critical thinking to identify issues, strengths and challenges relating to credit risk
- Professional communication skills to undertake client meetings and written reports
- Provide an escalation and support point for client’s queries throughout the assessment process
- Complying with all applicable policies, principals and organisational requirements
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to analyse financial statements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage various stakeholder engagements
- Advanced financial numeracy & literacy
- Ability to apply advanced critical thinking to data and business processes
- Inquisitive mindset, with an ability to think beyond the ratios and apply knowledge in holistic way
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage their own time
- Ability and willingness to take ownership of deliverables and SLA’s
- Seeks continuous improvement of self and business process
What could set you apart?
- Bachelor degree in accounting, business, finance or relevant field
- CA/CPA/CFA highly regarded
