Job Description

We’re looking for a highly skilled Financial Modelling Expert to join our Group Finance team at Cuscal, where you’ll play a key role in driving performance and shaping strategic decisions across our Product Domains.

This is more than a technical role—it’s an opportunity to own outcomes, influence senior stakeholders, and bring financial insights to life.

This is a 12-month maximum term engagement.

Your Opportunity

You’ll be a go-to expert for complex financial modelling, working across large datasets and multiple stakeholders to deliver clear, structured, and actionable insights.

You’ll thrive if you enjoy turning complexity into clarity—whether that’s building sophisticated models or presenting key insights to executive leaders.

As a trusted finance partner, you will:

  • Own the P&L for a key business unit, driving performance and accountability
  • Build and deliver complex financial models (M&A, business cases, scenario modelling)
  • Translate financial outputs into clear, concise insights for executive audiences
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to provide strategic financial advice
  • Lead and mentor an Assistant Business Partner

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modelling & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain driver-based financial models
  • Run scenario analysis to assess business impacts and opportunities
  • Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders into cohesive models

Business Partnering

  • Provide strategic advice and actionable insights to senior leaders
  • Support decision-making through clear, data-driven recommendations

Planning & Forecasting

  • Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and a 3-year strategic plan
  • Identify risks and opportunities to support performance targets

Reporting & Insights

  • Own monthly P&L reporting, including variance analysis
  • Present clear dashboards and insights to highlight trends and performance

Qualifications

You’ve got an analytical mindset, with strong communication skills and a passion for turning complex datasets into actionable insights. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven to contribute to a dynamic team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Advanced Excel and expert-level financial modelling capability
  • Experience building complex business case or M&A models
  • Strong understanding of P&L, revenue drivers, and commercial outcomes
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to simplify complex data into compelling narratives (PowerPoint, visual storytelling)
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
