About the Role:

Financial Planning & Commercial Analytics Manager is a strategic finance business partner to the ANZ Commercial Organisation. This role functions as the finance data lead for ANZ Divisions, merging FP&A expertise with data analytics and automation.

What You'll Do:

This role integrates three core capabilities:

Strategic FP&A Leadership

Lead full FP&A cycle for SDG, LSG & BPG including:

  • Deliver clear, insight-driven performance analysis across revenue, gross margin, OPEX and working capital.

  • Consolidate variance analysis and identify underlying business drivers.

  • Provide forward-looking modelling to support scenario planning and strategic decision-making.

  • Partner with APJ and Divisional FP&A teams to ensure accurate, timely and aligned submissions across Hyperion (HFM, Essbase, PLN) and ERP systems.

  • Improve forecasting accuracy, financial transparency and reporting efficiency.

Commercial Business Partnering

  • Act as trusted advisor to: Division Senior Director, ANZ Commercial Sales Leaders, VP/GM ANZ

  • Translate financial results into clear commercial narratives for senior leadership.

  • Influence strategic choices through data-backed insights and financial acumen.

 Data, Analytics & Finance Digital Transformation

  • Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, Revenue & margin performance, Customer & segment analysis, Sales pipeline & territory performance, Pricing and mix analytics, Expense and headcount tracking

  • Create advanced financial and commercial models integrating ERP, Hyperion, CRM and other data sources.

  • Build scenario modelling tools for leadership to evaluate growth, pricing and investment decisions.

  • Deliver high-impact visual storytelling through dashboards and executive-ready reporting packs.

Keys to Success:Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (required)

  • CPA / Chartered Accountant (preferred)

Experience & Technical Expertise

Finance & Commercial

  • 5+ years’ experience in multinational / large corporate finance.

  • Proven experience leading FP&A processes in a matrix organisation.

  • Strong commercial finance background with demonstrated stakeholder influence & Experience navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.

Systems & Data Expertise

  • Advanced Excel modelling capability (complex formulas, Power Query, financial modelling frameworks).

  • Advanced Power BI capability including Data modelling (relationships, star schema principles),  DAX measures, Dashboard design and visual storytelling

  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, E1).

  • Strong understanding of financial data structures and integration across systems.

  • Experience leading reporting automation or digital transformation initiatives.
