An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated person to join our QLD sales team as Business Development Manager. Reporting to the State Field Sales Manager, in this role, you will contribute to the successful attainment of Foodservice targets/strategies/market penetration in line with Regional growth. You will provide outstanding customer service to small and medium sized businesses through your solution focussed and disciplined approach to work.
About the Role

  • Sales Generation: Maintain and develop strong business relationships with allocated business, generate new business and manage accounts.
  • Business Relationships: Initiate & ensure a responsive approach to the sales marketing state chain meu requirements
  • Reporting Business Outcomes: Ensure pro-active reporting of all sales requirements, including current and expected business outcomes, opportunities, forecasting & emerging issues in line with regional requirements
  • Teamwork: Contribute as an effective member of the Foodservice Team including mentoring new staff, contributing to team outcomes/goals, developing and maintaining effective communication.
  • Distributors: Conduct "cook-ups" and product presentations as per call cycle
  • End-users: Drive product pull-through distributors. Launch new SKU's in alignment with the State Field Sales Manager


About You

  • Experience in a Business Development or Sales Representative role, with a passion for sales - within FMCG will be advantageous
  • Self-starter, motivated to seek action beyond specific position responsibilities
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, and customer service skills with a commercial focus
  • The ability to confidently communicate, influence and negotiate
  • Good organisational skills - efficiently schedule own time and activities to meet all project time frames
  • Good Microsoft Office skills including the ability to interpret business data and report outcomes
  • Able to travel frequently within QLD
